Our Story
Hi, I’m Michael, and I’d like to welcome you to Turning Wheels Brewery. What started as a passion project fueled by my curiosity for craft beer has grown into Cebu’s first craft brewery – and a true labor of love.
I never imagined myself as a beer drinker, let alone a brewer. In fact, I barely touched beer until I discovered the world of craft beer. Suddenly, I was tasting flavors, textures, and aromas I didn’t know could exist in a glass. Craft beer wasn’t just a drink; it was an experience, and I wanted to share that with others.
The Turning Wheels Philosophy
Turning Wheels is more than a name; it’s a reflection of my two great loves: cycling and beer. Back when I lived in the States, my biking friends and I would gather after a long ride to share beers and stories. Those post-ride moments taught me that beer isn’t just about what’s in the glass – it’s about the connection it creates.
Our brewery is built on that same idea. We’re here to craft beer that brings people together, whether you’re celebrating a milestone, catching up with friends, or simply unwinding after a busy day. Every pint tells a story, and we’re honored to be part of yours.
A Unique Cebu Experience
We’re proud to call Cebu home and to bring something entirely new to its vibrant community.
At Turning Wheels, we combine local and imported natural ingredients to create beers that stand out in flavor, quality, and creativity. Whether it’s the bold bitterness of our Mountain King IPA or the smooth, malty richness of SingleSpeed Imperial Stout, there’s a beer here for everyone to love.
As Cebu’s first craft brewery, we’ve built this business from the ground up – quite literally. What started as a garage operation has become a gathering place for beer enthusiasts, cyclists, and anyone who appreciates the artistry of a handcrafted brew.
Looking Ahead
While we’re proud of how far we’ve come, we’re always pedaling toward the next goal. Whether it’s introducing new beers, hosting brewing workshops, or creating more spaces for people to come together, we’re excited for what’s ahead. And yes, one day, we’d love to have a standalone taproom where cycling culture and craft beer collide in full force.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Whether you’re here for the beer, the bikes, or the good times, we’re thrilled to have you along for the ride. So grab a pint, share a story, and let’s keep the wheels turning together.
Cheers,
Michael
